Here's what most brands won't tell you: virgin hair is processed. The chemical treatment and steaming that create textures like body wave, deep wave, and curly are intentional — and that's not a bad thing. What we can't claim, and won't claim, is that we know everything that was done to it before it reached us. Unlike raw hair, the full processing history isn't traceable. Understanding Hair Grades
Virgin hair is graded by quality — here at Too Raw Hair we carry 15A, one of the highest grades available. Higher grades mean longer, aligned strands with intact cuticles — less tangling, less shedding, longer lasting. Lower grades often contain mixed or shorter strands, sometimes coated in silicone for temporary shine that fades fast.
